ClicknFill

Privacy Policy

Effective 15 October 2026

All data is stored locally on your computer. ClicknFill has no servers and no accounts. It does not collect, sell, share or send your personal data anywhere.

What ClicknFill stores on your computer

Everything below is saved with the browser's extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your device only:

If you set a PIN, your profiles are encrypted (AES-GCM, 256-bit) with a key derived from your PIN (PBKDF2, 310,000 iterations). The unlocked key is kept in memory only and is cleared when you close the browser. Your PIN itself is never stored.

What ClicknFill does not do

Photos and signatures

The resizer works entirely inside your browser. Images are never uploaded and ClicknFill does not keep them; the resized file goes to your Downloads folder.

To change a photo's background, ClicknFill uses an AI model (Google MediaPipe Selfie Segmentation) that is included in the extension and runs on your computer. Your photo is not sent anywhere, and the model is not downloaded from the internet. Signatures you draw on the signature pad stay on your computer too.

If you take a photo with your camera in the resizer, Chrome asks your permission first. The camera is only on while the camera view is open; the picture you take stays on your computer like any other photo, and nothing is recorded or sent anywhere.

Backup files

A backup file is created only when you choose Export profiles. It is encrypted with the password you choose, and you decide where it goes.

Permissions

Deleting your data

Delete profiles, learned fields and fill history from ClicknFill's settings page at any time. Removing the extension deletes everything it stored.

Changes

If a future version needs the internet, for example to check a paid licence, this policy will be updated before that version is released. Your profile data will still never leave your device.
